16th Global Slag Conference, Exhibition & Awards 2024

23 - 24 April 2024

The 16th Global Slag Conference will allow all attendees to maximise their profits from slag - both ferrous and non-ferrous, will keep them up-to-date with the industry state-of-the-art and will provide extensive networking and business opportunities for both producers and users of slag and slag-based products. Delegates are expected to attend from more than 40 countries, to improve and optimise their cement-based businesses. If your business is in the cement and lime industry, then you must attend!

Delegate fees

The registration fee includes attendance at the conference and exhibition, conference proceedings book including delegate names/company/country and all available presenter slides in pdf format, participation in networking/speed-dating sessions, delegate name badge, special distribution magazine, coffee breaks and snacks, lunches, welcome reception and farewell reception.

The conference super-early-bird registration fee is £545 until 16 December 2023 and the early-bird rate is £645 from 17 December 2023. The conference standard-rate registration fee is £745 from 1 February 2024. The conference final rate registration fee is £845 from 1 March 2024. Employees of members of the conference association partners (Euroslag, National Slag Association, Slag Cement Association, Australasian (iron and steel) Slag Association, Nippon Slag Association and the Brazil Steel Institute) benefit from a £100 discount on these rates. Speakers register for £495, while confirmed producer/user speakers register free.

The Global Slag Awards Dinner will take place at a spectacular venue to be confirmed. The Global Slag Awards Dinner is bookable at a rate of £125, during registration.

The field trips on 22 April 2024 (to Green Cement, Dubai) and 25 April 2024 (to National Cement, Abu Dhabi) are optional extras and participant numbers are limited. The cost for each trip is £50 - bookable during registration.

Note: The organisers reserve the right to alter future registration fees on an ongoing-basis, if required by currency movements or other unavoidable circumstances. Pre-existing bookings will not be affected.

Due to the constraints of the registration system, a new registration form must be completed for each delegate. Guests can attend the gala dinner only. Each registration must have its own unique e-mail address. Payment is by bank/credit card or direct bank transfer only.

Please note that conference fees are not refundable under any circumstances, unless the conference is cancelled, in which case fees will be refunded after an administrative deduction of 20%. You are strongly advised to secure your visa before registering for the conference. Refunds cannot be issued due to non receipt of a Visa. Substitutions from the same company can be made at no cost up to three working days before the event.
